Berghain 04 release party

Big Ben has recently been announced as Ostgut Ton's mixer and complier for Berghain 04 available as of the 28th of June on CD and limited double 12 inch.

If that wasn't exciting enough Ostugut's techno mecca Berghain is holding the CD release party on the 12th of June which will see a night of Berlin, Detroit and UK techno juggernauts help warp Berghain into its preternatural time continuum.

Techno meets deep house.

Marcel Dettmann To Release Debut Album

Masculine, chizzled jaw lines, well groomed & German. A prerequisite for the techno DJ.

According to Fact Magazine, Berghains Marcel Dettmann, know for his ability to unite katabatic coldness with stonefaced 4x4s (Something fellow German STL also does well) is on the verge of releasing his debut album.

The 12 track LP incorporates track titles such as 'Irritant' 'Captivate' and 'Silex" sure to leave listeners painting imaginary definitions of the words inside their heads.

Comparison to Ben Klock's 'One' abum are sure to follow with close friend and Berghain cohort releasing his first full length in 2009. The two forged 'Blank Scenario' together in 2007, a great showcase of todays techno juggernauts.

The album will be made availabe on both CD and vinyl formats with Dettman Remixed to follow featuring remixes of ‘Shift’ and ‘Vertigo’ by Norman Nodge and Wincent Kunth.

Clyde Drexler - Late Night Jam

Fellow music cognomen Aaron Coultate & James Manning (aka Radeo Vidio) have decided to go their own separate ways after djing together for the past 4 years.

Together the two played in and around Australia, then deciding to move to the UK, from there they played and hosted several London parties whilst playing across the UK with a host of talents.

James Manning aka Clyde Drexler has now relocated back to Melbourne, Australia with a record collection spanning genres, eras and continents: from Berlin ‘95 to New York ‘79; Chicago ‘84, obscure gems & current day jams. This avid techno collector has proved to dig deeper and longer than your average, dime-a-dozen DJ, combining decadence with dirtiness, and a fair amount in between.

This is his first mix under the Clyde Drexler moniker since Radeo Vidio took up hiatus this January. A techno mix in every sense of the word, from its terrifying Cio Do'r/Surma intro, Berghain-esque industrialism of Ben Klock & Marcel Dettmann, to the thought provoking landscapes of STL's checkmate to Clarks gnarling set finisher 'Growls Garden' this mix has it all.

A definite late night jam.
